Movement, are very glad and rejoice for the 63rd Birthday Anniversary
of Your Excellency.
Your Excellency Bishop Cornelius Sim, IOC Movement truly hope that Apostolic Vicariate of Brunei will able to live in harmony and peace with others in Brunei while preserving and Evangelizing our Catholic Faith like in the past where the first Catholic Missionary; the Franciscan Missionary, has reached the land of Kingdom of Brunei as well. We encourage Your Excellency Bishop Cornelius Sim together with the Catholic priest under your care to start to:
"Promoting and Installing Traditional Latin Mass in Apostolic Vicariate of Brunei."
May Your Excellency remains Obedience to the Pope; His Holiness Pope Francis, and to the Holy Mother Church; the Most Holy Catholic Church, altogether with the Catholic Faith. We sincerely hope that the Catholic Church in Brunei could provide the Traditional Latin Mass or Extraordinary Form(According to the Language of Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum) when the local or visiting priests and any Catholics that is under the patronage of Your Excellency in Brunei is asking humbly for this Rubrics of St.Pope John XXIII(Roman Missal 1962 Typical Edition) to be celebrated in any parishes in Brunei. Let the Youth in there could diversify with the richness of Catholic Church treasures of traditions.
We have most of Roman Catholics in Negara Brunei Darussalam as the migrant worker where most of them came to Brunei to work in the industries in Brunei to enhance the economics of Brunei Darussalam with their expertise. Their life;the body and soul, is under Your Excellency's hands and prayers so that they will always be holy and striving towards holiness.
Therefore,
We hope that the Catholic Church under a benevolence reign of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah will able to be lifted up into the Status of Diocese or even Archdiocese. Here is the list of parishes in Apostolic Vicariate of Brunei:
i) Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Bandar Seri Begawan
ii) Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, Seria in Seria
iii) St. John's Church in Kuala Belait
We pray to God that He will call many more young and unmarried man to be called into the holy priesthood as the Catholic priest and we ask every Catholic Family and Catholic Marriage in Brunei could nurture their sons to be the Catholic priest serving in Brunei.
Thus,
We would like to send up our prayers to God the Most Merciful so that He will protect Your Excellency from any harm and gives His Divine Assistance to Your Excellency in your episcopacy as the Bishop of the Catholic Church.
